Hartford Hospital Bliss

A 50,000-square-foot expansion to Hartford Hospital opened its doors recently, featuring “state-of-the-art technologies and patient-friendly design”. The facility includes numerous square downlights from Kirlin, most notably in the MRI suites alongside 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla machines (shown at the top of this email). Non-ferromagnetic 6″ square MRS-06465 was installed with SmartLED MRI remote drivers and EMI/RFI filters to ensure safe and accurate scans.

Outside the MRI space, Kirlin’s LRS-06505 downlight was used to deliver 5,000 lumens of dimmable output, specified with an antimicrobial BioGard finish to combat infection. Read more about the project courtesy of MBH Architecture, here.
