Stony Brook University Hospital

This 603-bed hospital is the largest academic medical center on Long Island and the only Level 1 trauma center in Suffolk County, requiring state-of-the-art MRI diagnostics which can be relied upon to provide accurate imaging every scan. 

Two MRI Suites were specified with non-magnetic materials and Kirlin’s expertise in MRI Suites since the 1970s and decades of LED MRI lighting experience weighed heavily in the decision to use Kirlin.  Since Kirlin is the only manufacturer that provides a turn-key 3-part system, which ensures all components operate harmoniously together and without electromagnetic interference, the 2500L recessed 6″ lensed series was used with remote drivers and filters. 

Not a single scan has been repeated due to lighting issues, improving patient outcomes and medical training as a result of accurate and timely MRI scans.
