When Bethlehem Central High School’s auditorium was up for renovation, they wanted a sleek, modern space. To manage the acoustics, the design included floating sound absorption panels over the fixed seating. The question became how to provide a house lighting solution that gave even illumination as well as was easy to maintain over the lifetime of the school. Kirlin’s Symphony solution hit all the right notes with the remote drivers and its ability to control the lights individually both for normal and emergency lighting. By using 9″ black pendant cylinders (SSR-09620) and DMX drivers that were tucked away in the electrical room, the fixtures could blend into the spaces between the ceiling clouds while being controlled with the theatrical controls system. Now it’s ready for many more years of concerts, plays, and assemblies!
