Regional Sales Manager

Sales managers regularly meet with key lighting Specifiers presenting Kirlin's sophisticated luminaires specifically selected for each Specifier's expertise. This position offers an extraordinary opportunity to contribute to sales success and new product/market development for both lighting sales divisions of Kirlin: Commerical and Medical. Conceptual new product design features and benefits are often perfected by input from our valued customers. Daily work with our global network of Manufacturer Representatives is crucial to sales success and an invaluable source of market intelligence. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving financial sales objectives by hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating all manufacturers' representatives within the Region. All Sales positions offer upward career path mobility throughout Kirlin.

Background, Experience, and Skills Required:
  • Five to ten years of experience calling on lighting specifiers.
  • Experience in closing sales in a product features-and-benefits market.
  • Technical, mathematical and lighting calculation expertise.
  • College graduate in business, architecture, or engineering-related curriculum.
    Graduate work desired.
  • PC proficiency, including Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • Self-starter; organized; well-travelled; persuasive presentation skills.
  • Desire to travel 70%, including some weekends.
  • Must reside in Metro Detroit or be willing to relocate.
